The inaugural HEARTS OF HOPE Campaign will honor Dr. Leonard Bailey, world renowned transplant surgeon with four decades of leadership and research in infant heart transplantation. Bailey’s groundbreaking work began early in his career when he confronted the disturbing reality that existing reconstructive surgical procedures were inadequate for babies born with certain complex congenital heart diseases.
I was one of the chosen artists to create a heart, which I call "Birds of Love" for this great cause. The unveiling of the hearts will take place during the “Artists and Sponsors with a Heart” reception on November 27 at Heather James Fine Art Gallery in Palm Desert. The hearts will remain on display in Palm Desert through February 2018.
The hearts will be auctioned off to benefit Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital, including the Children’s Health – Jill & Barry Golden Pavilion, at the Big Hearts for Little Hearts Desert Guild’s signature fundraising event, “Girls, Guys & Giving” at Indian Wells Country Club on February 4, 2019, and at the annual Foundation Gala at the Riverside Convention Center on February 21, 2019.

The Magical Deer of Idyllwild, 2018
I was one of the artists chosen for the Idyllwild Deer Project. These beautiful creatures are dispersed throughout the town. If you are visiting Idyllwild you can get a map and go on a tour of 23 painted deer. Fun!
